Customers who wish to purchase the Galaxy S II 4G will have to come up with $370 USD/295 EUR (excluding taxes) outright. The handset will be available in white and black colors.
According to Boost Mobile, customers will be able to purchase the smartphone from late September via select national retail locations.
As the name suggests, the device is fully compatible with Sprint’s 3G and 4G (WiMAX) networks, allowing Boost Mobile customers to take advantage of 4G services with average upload speeds between 3-6 Mbps with bursts of more than 10 Mbps.
Software-wise, the Galaxy S II 4G is powered by Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system out of the box. It also comes equipped with a 1.2 GHz dual-core Samsung Exynos processor and 1GB of RAM.
The smartphone packs 16GB of internal memory, as well as microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 32GB).
There’s also an enhanced 8-megapixel camera on the back, which features autofocus, LED flash and full HD (1080p) video recording, as well as a secondary 2-megpaixel front-facing camera for video calls.
Last but not least, Samsung Galaxy S II 4G boasts a 4.52-inch Super AMOLED Plus capacitive touchscreen display that supports 480 x 800 pixels resolution.
